How do you learn Blender as a beginner?

To improve your skills in Blender, you need to create your own projects (without following tutorials). Finding ideas suitable for beginners can be tricky, which is why we’re offering some simple projects:

  • A cup
  • A sword
  • A trunk
  • Your bedroom (or another room in the house)
  • A low-poly scene (for example: a tent and a campfire)
  • A video game console (Game Boy, Switch, etc.)

There are plenty of project ideas out there, but the easiest approach is to model a simple everyday object or a less detailed environment. The goal is to practice modeling, materials, and lighting. It’s best to save more ambitious projects for later to avoid getting discouraged.

Above all, these projects are meant to encourage you to experiment and solve problems on your own.
